Domenica Group, one of Cyprus’ most established real estate and construction companies, is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Department at our offices in Pafos.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day financial operations and strategic improvements, including playing an active role in the migration to a new accounting system. Your Responsibilities:• Preparing and issuing financial documents such as invoices, bills, receipts, and credit notes• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing purchase orders and weekly subcontractor payments• Handling payroll accurately and timely in compliance with Cyprus regulations• Performing regular bank reconciliations, verifying bank deposits, and ensuring the accuracy of account balances• Recording and updating financial transactions accurately in our accounting software• Processing business expenses and petty cash management• Preparing regular financial reports for senior management• Coordinating with internal and external auditors and assisting during audit processes• Verifying and rectifying discrepancies in account books and financial statements• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures• Facilitating smooth communication and information sharing between accounting and other departments• Actively contributing to the implementation of and migration to a new accounting system• Applying accounting practices specific to the construction and development sector, including project-based entries, completion-stage recognition, and cost allocation across ongoing developments
Candidate Profile:• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction or real estate development industry• Holds a completed qualification such as LCCI Higher, ACA, or ACCA• Solid working knowledge of Cyprus VAT and payroll legislation, and familiarity with IFRS standards• Strong proficiency in accounting software and excellent Excel skills• Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal) is essential• Capable of working independently with high attention to detail, while contributing effectively within a team environment• Comfortable operating in a structured, deadline-driven setting with a high degree of accuracy and reliability• Demonstrates a basic understanding of financial workflows within the construction and development sector• Previous experience with completion-stage or project-based accounting is highly advantageous• Familiarity with digital systems and an openness to participate in accounting software implementation projects
